The Nomad™ Portable Home Sleep Testing Type III device incorporates the latest in hardware design to provide ease of use, system reliability and seamless integration with the Polysmith™ Sleep Systems. Nomad has the ability to record 11 channels - 2 effort, 2 flow, body position, SpO2, Pleth wave, heart rate, leg movements and 1 DC channel, all in a compact durable casing. At 17 ounces, the Nomad is a lightweight but robust package that can comfortably move with your patient from lab to home.
The Nomad recorder and software were developed in parallel to create an intuitive user and patient interface that include:
- Color coded sensors and receptacles to ensure easy patient hook up.
- Recording that starts with a valid pulse oximetry signal.
- Ability to monitor and initialize via wireless Bluetooth connectivity.
- Download files via USB interface in minutes.
- Rapidly autoscore with the Polysmith world renowned scoring algorithm.
The Nomad comes with the advantages and power of the Polysmith suite of polysomnographic software solutions which include Polysmith, Surveysmith™ and the optional Polysmith DMS (Data Management System) database. Polysmith has been enhanced and simplified to work specifically with Nomad to ease scheduling of HST patients as well as processing them through their sleep evaluation. New to Polysmith DMS are the following features purposely integrated for Home Sleep Testing.
Schedule HST patients on DMS calendar.- Initialize recorder from calendar or Polysmith interface.
- Auto configure Polysmith for analysis by the type of recorder being used (Type II or Type III) when recording is loaded.
- Store recorder Type (I, II, III) with each study for easy query
- View live data on Polysmith acquisition screen
- Standard or Custom reporting for any Type (I, II, III) of recording
