The Nihon Kohden EEG-1200 System

Nihon Kohden’s long legacy in EEG diagnostics and monitoring continues with the introduction of the EEG-1200 that combines EEG, Long Term Epilepsy (LTM), cEEG ICU Monitoring and Sleep Testing for the most flexible and comprehensive recording system available today.  The EEG-1200 system features a LAN connected, IP addressable converter box for all amplifiers providing more configuration flexibility independent of the PC platform. LTM installations are simplified by a single LAN cable run to the patient room for EEG acquisition, photic and patient event marker, 4-16 channel DC input as well as SpO2 and CO2 monitoring.  Standard with the EEG-1200 review software is on-line FFT during acquisition as well as off-line Source localization, 3D voltage maps and FFT DSA traces.

To enhance workflow, the new Examination Assist Bar allows for preset routine EEG examination flow through its auto-sequence feature. For portable EEG’s simply disconnect from the network to perform the study and our auto-copy function will transfer the studies to the database upon network reconnection.

NeuroWorkbench™ is the core integrator of Nihon Kohden’s Neurology product portfolio. This common interface allows for examination scheduling, protocol administration and data management improving workflow and access to clinical data and records. The customized NeuroWorkbench database program provides tools to create physician, technician and administrative NeuroReports™. An optional HL-7 program provides communication between Neuroworkbench and hospital information systems.

QP-160 cEEG Trending Software

Nihon Kohden’s long legacy in EEG diagnostics and monitoring continues with the introduction of the QP-160 cEEG trending software for the EEG-1200 system.

The use of continuous EEG (cEEG) can enhance the neurological assessment and care of critically ill patients through early detection of reversible neurological deterioration. The Nihon Kohden superior signal quality amplifiers ensure reliable cEEG trends. The QP-160 application (software) is designed to fully integrate the EEG data with user selectable trends over time. Areas of clinical interest are easily recognized at the bedside and provide diagnosticians fast review capabilities of the associated EEG data over days, and even weeks, in a single display with synchronized audio and video data.

High Quality Trends included in this application are DSA (Density Spectral Array), FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), BSR (Burst Suppression Ratio), Alpha/Delta Plot (FFT Power Ratio), aEEG (Amplitude Integrated EEG), IBI (Inter Burst Interval) and BPM (Burst per Minute). In addition the QP-160 provides important values for DC signals such as SaO2 and etCO2. Trends can be created in both a Referential and Bipolar configuration and all are integrated within both Nihon Kohden Acquisition and Review applications.

ECG 1550A CardioFaxV

The feature rich Nihon Kohden CardioFaxV Interpretive ECG 1550A is a high-end hospital quality ECG cart. The large high-resolution touch screen makes for an easy user interface for data entry. The 1550A is available as a standard 12-lead electrocardiograph, but stress testing can be added as an option along with a Full Vision Trackmaster treadmill and SunTech auto blood pressure unit with SpO2. Another option is 15-lead electrocardiography which enables a close look at the left descending circumflex coronary artery is it wraps around the bottom and back of the heart.
